Hiking in Nassfeld

The Schlanitzen Alm Club offers guided tours of all difficulty levels. From leisurely strolls to high-alpine hikes, there’s something for everyone here. For moderate and difficult hikes, ankle-high hiking boots with excellent traction are required. In some cases, transportation by private car is necessary. All mountain and hiking tours are led by knowledgeable guides who are properly trained and licensed.

Located at 1,400 meters above sea level, spectacular views await at every turn. For example, you can hike up to the peaks of the surrounding mountains or follow the Carnic High Trail, which runs along the southwestern border of Carinthia with Italy in the Carnic Alps. The Garnitzenklamm gorge in the Carnic Alps south of Hermagor features Europe’s largest geo-trail, and there are many mountain huts with dining facilities in the surrounding area.

Mountain Biking

Carinthia’s most beautiful biking areas are right on the club’s doorstep: Diverse landscapes featuring valleys and plateaus, along with breathtaking panoramic views, make biking here an unforgettable experience. Every week, 4 to 7 guided tours of varying difficulty levels are offered: scenic rides, leisurely rides, or challenging downhill runs—there’s something for everyone.
If
you don’t want to bring your own bike, you can rent high-quality, well-equipped e-mountain bikes—some with suspension—as well as helmets (for a fee) to ensure you’re fully equipped for your tour.
